Kerpoof and new Videos!

Great news! There's some new stuff from Ms. Techie Teacher!

Check out the new video on Word in our Teacher Toolkit. Try out the assignment that goes with it. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how easy it is!

There's also a new video on Organizing your Desktop on our Videos page. Make sure to leave a comment telling us how you were able to use it!

Finally there's a new fun item called Kerpoof.com listed on our Fun Ideas page. It's a great beginners blog but it can also be great for online book reports or illustrations for  stories! Your imagination is the limit! Try it out!

Please remember to leave a comment - we'd love to get some conversations started about what you're taking away from this webpage :)

Teacher Tool Kit

What exactly is a "teacher tool kit" you ask? Well it's simple. You just pick a piece of software you'd like to be able to learn a little bit more about, watch the tutorial movie and then complete your own sample project. Each video looks to teach you the basics about each software. It's just about making you more comfortable using the software. Once you know the basics, you may become comfortable using it more often - especially in your classroom!

Also make sure to check out the "Fun ideas" page for a new online study helper - Jeopardy! It's online, free and completely custom-made for your class! Super fun way to review for tests, or even just sum up a unit.

Finally just a reminder about comments. You can sign in using the "Google" account and inputting your school email address. It's already created for you - no need to make any new accounts!

My personal favorite is the writing prompt "What would you do if you were president?" Quick to print out - simply add a story book and go! Quick and easy - what more could you ask for :)

Welcome!

This webpage is for teachers seeking help with technology. The goal of this online community is to not only help you use new technology better, but also to give you ideas on how to use what you have in a new and different way!  Here you’ll find many different tutorial videos that are specific to District 39.
For those of you who don’t consider yourselves tech savvy, you’ve come to the right place! Even if you may consider yourself tech savvy, we’re always learning and you’re sure to find something on this site that you didn’t know before!
Here’s how it works:
On the right side of this homepage is a page named "Videos." From this page simply click on the category you need. Then, find and watch the video that applies to the problem you’re having. After watching we ask that you please rate the video, located just below the video itself, and leave a comment. These comments will help others learn if the video was helpful, give us all new ideas (aka if you were able to alter the idea in any way,) etc. This website should continue to grow and become a valuable item in your technology arsenal!
