By completing the project listed, you will be able to have the experience of using the software yourself. Please comment on your experience with the assignment. Word: Word is a word processing software from Microsoft. It is similar to Pages but still has some differences. Due to some feedback about the series of Pages videos, the Word video is very basic. If you'd like any further information about Word please let us know in the comment section below. The voluntary assignment for Word is to find a template in the Project Gallery that might be useful for your classroom and create a demo. Maybe there's a newsletter template that might be perfect for your classroom corespondences. Maybe the Journals pages in the Writing Toolbox are just perfect for that writing lesson coming up for your kids. Try something new! Let us know how you liked or disliked it.

Pages: Pages is a word processing software. There are two options to it - Word Processing and Page layouts. The first three videos are about Word Processing, and the final is about Page Layout. The assigned project for Pages is simple. Create your own page. Use your spelling list for the week, or a letter home to parents - something that's already done. We just want you to type something out and practice changing the look of it on Pages. Your final page should also include at least one image. This project is optional, but I highly recommend you try it as it will give you the opportunity to use this software.
